Following the rain out at the Summer Nationals the Darren Morgan Racing (DMR) Shannon’s Top Fuel Dragster and the entire Team headed off on a hectic promotional tour which included events in two States that don’t currently posses a regular competition ¼ mile Drag Strip. The first of the two motor shows that the team visited was the Motorvate Melbourne Car Show while the second was a week later in South Australia when they headlined the Port Augusta Motor Show.

After travelling across the Hay Plains on Wednesday night the Darren Morgan Racing (DMR) Top Fuel outfit were pumped and ready for a strong result in Sydney at the 2010 Summer Nationals but it wasn’t to be as the only winner last weekend was the rain. Following the announcement the week prior of the partnership between DMR and Shannon’s Insurance as the primary sponsor the Mildura based team were set to put on a strong showing for fans in Sydney but now they will have to wait until the next round of the ANDRA Pro Series on April 17/18 at Queensland’s Willowbank Raceway.

Darren Morgan Racing and Shannon’s Insurance have teamed up for what is going to be a busy three weeks for the Mildura Missile. The Shannon’s Insurance Top Fuel Dragster will be attending the Summer Nationals at Sydney Dragway on the 12th – 13th, then the Motorvate Melbourne car show on the 20th and will then travel to Port Augusta for the Port Augusta Motor show on the 27th.

Darren Morgan and his DMR team are excited about returning to Perth for the third round of the 2009/2010 ANDRA Top Fuel Pro-Series. The team are confident they can turn the tide on their slow start to the season with a strong outing at the Perth Motorplex. With excellent conditions forecast for the weekend the DMR team are pumped and ready to put on a good show.

The new store includes the entire DMR range including the Wicked Quick apparel and existing DMR items. Also included is the new DMR and Shannon’s Tri State series apparel which were launched at the last Perth meeting.

Darren Morgan Racing’s trip west to the Perth Motorplex has delivered positive results for the Mildura based team. The team qualified second with a solid 4.74 second pass on tricky track conditions. Morgan was then eliminated in the quarter finals by defending Australian Champion Phil Lamattina and his 4.70 second pass. Morgan smoked the tyres around 150ft into the run handing the win to Lamattina.

Darren Morgan has put the DMR, Hi Tec Oils Top Fuel Dragster into second place on the qualifying with a solid 4.74 second pass at the Perth Motorplex yesterday. This puts Morgan against a very tough opponent in Phil Lamattina who struggled during qualifying yesterday.

The Rocket Industries Wicked Quick Top Fuel Team has continued on its strong recent form with a sturdy outing at the 2009 Castrol EDGE Winternationals at Queensland’s Willowbank Raceway on the June long weekend. Setting the pace early with a top qualifying, low elapsed time setting 4.633 second pass in the second qualifying session, Morgan edged out new Australian Champion Phil Lamattina and his 4.639 second pass.
