WORKSHOP BLOG

 25/01/2010 - 10.30PM

Hi Everyone

Its been a busy couple of weeks at DMR. There is a huge amount of servicing and pre event maintenance that goes into running a Top Fuel Dragster. Servicing head, racks, engines, superchargers, etc. On Thursday nights and Sundays the crew come around to the workshop to service all the equipment required for the next round.

I have put some photos up from in the workshop.

CHRISTMAS BREAK

 30/12/09 - 4.25PM

Hi Everyone

It has been pretty quiet at DMR over the last few weeks. With the car and trailer in Perth there hasn’t been a lot to do. Darren and the crew have had a good break over Christmas. We have got Darren on a strict fitness regime in an attempt to remove the Christmas pudding off him ready for the next round in Perth.

We have been spending a lot of time on organising sponsorship for the future and networking some of our current sponsors to help them grow their businesses. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas for marketing our partners.

We are looking forward to the next meeting in Perth next weekend. The crew will fly to Perth early on Wednesday morning. We will wash the truck and setup the awnings and transporter on the Wednesday and then pull the car out on Thursday and go over it again to ensure it is ready for qualifying the next day.

Our car was strong in Perth last meeting and we are all looking forward to putting on a good show and getting some good results next weekend. We have made a few small changes in our setup to help the car through the 100ft mark where we smoked the tyres last meeting.

Because there is nothing else to take photos of I have attached some photos from in our workshop.

Make sure you tune in next weekend for our race coverage and make sure if you have any ideas or comments from the website then don’t hesitate to let us know.

We hope everyone had a merry Christmas and we wish everyone a happy new year.

Check back soon.

WORKSHOP BLOG - THE RECOVERY

 14/12/09 - 6.00PM

Hi Everyone

It has been a long week since the race meeting. Servicing the car, travelling back to Mildura and cleaning up the workshop.

After the race meet some of the crew went home and the rest stayed to service the car ready for the next meeting in January. Sunday was a bit of a dud. We went out to the track and cleaned a few things up, we weren't there for long.

Over the next few days we got stuck into servicing all the parts, Dave Thornton serviced the piston racks, Dave Dolic serviced a supercharger, Rod serviced the heads, Raschelle built another spare engine (we now have four), Darren did whatever Darren does, and Natalie, Karen and Scott sorted out the merchandise. We assessed the data and the parts from the event and all in all we are very happy. We have had an issue over the last season and we made some changes before the Perth round that have fixed it. So now we have a good car and good data and are all ready for the next round.

We did a few other things while we stayed in Perth. It was Darren's birthday on the Monday so we went to Little Creature's for tea with some friends. We also played a very entertaining game of beach cricket.

We flew back to Adelaide on Wednesday morning and drove from Adelaide to Mildura that afternoon. We got back to Mildura that night.

Over the last few days we have been cleaning up the shop and getting ourselves ready for the next meeting.

Check back soon for more updates. We hope to have the online merchandise shop up and going this week.
