MORGAN PUTS THE HI TECH HAMMER DOWN Darren Morgan has the Hi-Tec Oils DMR Top Fuel Dragster locked and loaded and the hauler is cruising the Hay Plains right now as the boys home in on the FUCHS Australian Nationals at WSID this weekend. This weekend sees the first round of the ANDRA Pro Series (the Australian Top Fuel Drag Racing Championship) and Morgan is decidedly determined to improve on last year’s third place in the points. “We were only five points off second place,” concedes Morgan, “so we know we have plenty to do to ensure a great year this time around. We’ve got 08/09 as a pretty good springboard really.” In fact last season showed some significant results for the Mildura based DMR Team. “We had a 6-2 win loss record in the last three meetings of the season,” says the matter of fact Sunraysia speedster, “and we also had out team’s maiden win at the Nitro Champs. Our new Hi-Tec Oils Hadman chassis is sweet and we’re confident we can get on it right from the start this weekend.” Hi-Tec Oils have been a fantastic supporter of the DMR Team dragster for some time and Morgan is naturally appreciatiave. “We’re all so pleased to represent Hi-Tec this weekend and beyond,” he smiles, “it’s responsibility that we don’t take lightly and we’re hopeful we can deliver them some excellent TV exposure on ONE HD and some great results on the track.” Darren is also pleased to welcome Sunraysia transport industry leader GTS Transport on board for the Nationals, as well as the brand new “Mill Hotel” on Beaconsfield Rd in Milperra. With ten cars entered for this weekend’s Nationals event Morgan is champing at the bit to get after it. “It’s been a short break from last season and our boys have been working hard to ensuring we have an impressive weekend.
