Positive Results For Morgan In The West Darren Morgan Racing’s trip west to the Perth Motorplex has delivered positive results for the Mildura based team. The team qualified second with a solid 4.74 second pass on tricky track conditions. Morgan was then eliminated in the quarter finals by defending Australian Champion Phil Lamattina and his 4.70 second pass. Morgan smoked the tyres around 150ft into the run handing the win to Lamattina. ‘The quarter finals loss was disappointing’, said Morgan. ‘But we have made a lot of progress with our setup this weekend and we are in a strong position for the next round in four weeks’. The team found a problem in their setup prior to the Perth round which has now been rectified. ‘We have been chasing an issue for the last season and we have fixed it’, said an upbeat Morgan. ‘Now we can concentrate on the tune-up and going fast’. The whole team are looking forward to the next round of the championship which is back in the West on the 8-9 of January 2010 at the Perth Motorplex in Kwinana.
